Hi I'm new to this forum and am looking for some advice on our new big boy. Let me introduce us all there's me, the hubby, 2 kids (the youngest being 6) 3 cats (2 elderly), and free roaming bunny, amber 6yrold cavvie and our newest edition Monty GSDxBeardie.
He comes from a large family and is very leg and hand orientated and I can only assume that he has been played with by the family in this way. We have tried yelping and ignoring but he just turns it into a game which can be too much for the kids, we are now trying positive reinforcement by treating when he stops by responding to "no".
I would appreciate as many ideas as possible to stop this behaviour as I realise we have a highly intelligent dog but we would like him turn become a big soft teddy, Puppy classes are booked and we are raring to go.
Thanks
